Fresh from launching Disney Melee Mania, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about building innovative solutions for our games. You will join a cross-functional and dynamic team of developers, working with them to enhance our ability to maintain the quality of our players' experience by optimizing and improving processes to smoothly roll out new game features. You’ll work to eliminate roadblocks and focus on improving and streamlining the creation, deployment, updating and continuous operational monitoring of our games.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the games team to build and maintain our continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Identify and implement tools that automate manual processes in game development and deployment
  • Monitoring and creating server analytics reports
  • Monitoring server logging and server infrastructure setups
  • Improving system stability by following and encouraging best practices like agile development and test-driven development
  • Identify issues and opportunities for improved efficiency and create prototype solutions for presentation
  • Contributing to the decisions that shape our games and the company by giving as well as receiving feedback

 

As a successful candidate, you would have:

  • A strong passion for games and would love to create the next big hit
  • A keen understanding of Devops requirements in relation to mobile games
  • Experience with Continuous Integration systems
  • Experience working and communicating with development and QA teams
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related fields
  • 2+ years experience in Devops with mobile applications
  • A high sense of quality and polish, and pride in the work that you deliver
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

 

Experience or understanding of the following technologies is helpful to the position; the more the better, but expertise in all is not expected - on the job learning and training is highly supported.

  • Unity3d and C#
  • Continuous Integration and Build Automation - Gradle / Ansible / Jenkins / Github Actions
  • Microservices - Tracing / Service Discovery / Inter Service Messaging / Monitoring
  • Automatic Monitoring and Maintenance - Unix / Bash / Prometheus / Grafana / ELK
  • Containers - Docker / Kubernetes
  • Using managed services listed above on AWS and/or Google Cloud

 

As a bonus, you would:

  • Have experience working on a successful (>1M MAU) free-to-play game and exposure to engineering needs across the complete lifecycle.
